The best web series I ever watched!

Warning ⚠️

Before you read this blog and start watching this web-series, I have some red lights for you.

  1. There are 24 episodes of 40 minutes each, so its lengthy!

  2. It is very emotional drama, so softhearted people, stay away!

If you have lost someone close in near past,

or you have experienced a heartbreaking breakup in your life;

or any member of your family has been missing or had committed suicide,

PLEASE DO NOT WATCH THIS SERIES.

Why Why?

You would be thinking why I am suggesting a webseries so seriously. Yes, there are many reasons for its being #1 in my favourites list now.

  1. It is a spiritual-romantic drama from Pakistan; No nudity and No Nonsense!

  2. The acting, music and story is incredibly beautiful.

  3. The message given out of this story is elite.

  4. I believe this is a true story of someone from the cast.

Yes, I am talking about Alif!

About Alif

Alif (الف‎) is the first alphabet of Urdu/Arabic language. Alif is a basically a Urdu drama cum TV serial produced by Epic Entertainment (Pakistan), which watch streamed by GEO TV recently. Now it is available on YouTube also. It is free on Har Pal Geo channel, I have shared the link in the end of this blog.

If we talk about the genre of this series, then definitely its a spiritual-romantic dramas which also throws lights on Sufism and Ontology. It was shot in Turkey and Pakistan. Definitely I am not going to tell you the whole story, but to give you a rough idea to start, I would like to quote Wikipedia...

"Alif is the journey of Momin and Momina, where Momin's journey is to rediscover his roots and to choose the right path while Momina's journey is to maintain the livelihood of her family by fateful events their paths will join. The story also entails Momin' mother Husn-e-Jahan.

It depicts that how a rebellious film-maker and a struggling actress, both having disturbed pasts come-across the same path and understand the terminology of the alphabet Alif illustrating the bond of an individual with his God."

Alif touches upon the questions you ask yourself; questions about life and what it means. You’ll see how the lives of all the characters are connected with this single alphabet.
